Windows 10 updates are a double-edged sword. They can fix a lot of things and help keep you safe, but lately there have been a rash of problems with the updates. The most common one I’ve seen is where the wifi no longer wants to connect to anything! Here’s the quick fix that has worked for me several times already. If this doesn’t work, give us a call!
Step 1) Right-click the start button, this pulls up a special menu.
Step 2) Click on “Command Prompt (Admin)” NEWER VERSIONS OF WINDOWS 10 SAY “POWERSHELL (ADMIN)” BUT IT WORKS THE SAME.
Step 3) User Account Control box will pop up, click “yes” to allow it to make changes.
Step 4) type into the black box that comes up the following: netsh winsock reset
Step 5) It will give you a message about needing to restart to complete, so reboot your computer.
Step 6) After reboot, you should be back online! If not, call me!
